Peace Love and Pit Bulls is looking for fosters
Last Updated on Wednesday, 2 June 2010 10:28 Written by plp Thursday, 27 May 2010 11:26
If you have the time, patience, and an open mind we are looking for you to foster a pit bull.
The Mission:
- Rescue a pit bull that would other wise be put down. There are wonderful bully breed dogs with great temperaments and good dispositions that will be killed due to lack of space or obedience issues*.
- Work with the dog so it can pass the AKC’s CGC (Canine Good Citizenship). Doesn’t have to officially take the test but should be able to complete the 10 requirements.
- Work with Peace Love and Pit Bulls with once a week for meetings, conferences and training exercises so you have the support network to have a successful experience.
- Work with Peace Love and Pit Bulls to help promote, and network your foster into a forever home.
- REPEAT
Many dogs were never properly leash trained or taught not to jump on people. Which means a bully breed puppy at 9 months (still a playful pup) is 40 to 60 pounds of jumping out of control bundle of LOVE! That’s when they get quarantined to the back yard or dumped on the street or turned directly over to Leid Animal Shelter. Then good people adopt them and two weeks later return the animal because they have no idea of what to do with that much misdirected energy. You can break that cycle by being a good foster and helping the dog understand the rules of living inside with a human pack.
If you are dedicated to the process, Peace Love and Pit Bulls can help guide you in finding a good dog at your ability level and walk you through the steps. Please use the contact page to get in touch with us.
Thanks
Peace Love and Pit Bulls

Lilly gets to work with Tino

It was amazing how Lilly just fell in line with Tino! His confidence with a dog really shows in how Lilly responded to him. I’d been working with Lilly for about a month and sort of hit a wall in what to do next. Luckily I happen to know the Beast Master of Las Vegas and he helped meĀ out.

Becoming Buddy, part one, the movie
Last Updated on Friday, 9 July 2010 05:01 Written by mjname Monday, 12 April 2010 04:19
PeaceLoveandPitbulls.org rescues one Pit at a time, trains them in obedience and adopts them out to a loving forever home. Buddy was acquired from Leid Animal Shelter of Las Vegas, he was selected because he had the less likely hood of being adopted due to his overt shyness, and he wasn’t leash trained.
Special thanks to MatthewName.com for producing the video and website maintenance.
