When you walk your dog,
do you look like a frantic water skier?
When you call your dog,
do you get sent to voicemail?

I fix real-world behavior issues in 4–6 weeks using structured training — not guesswork. Serving Las Vegas and Los Angeles for over 20 years.

Sound Familiar?

Your dog is
running the show.

Your dog drags you on walks. Goes crazy when they see other dogs. Ignores you when it matters most. This isn't a bad dog — it's a communication problem. And it's fixable.

Your dog lunges and barks at every dog you pass on the street
Walks feel like a workout — and not the good kind
You've tried YouTube tutorials and they worked for about a day
Your dog ignores you the moment something more interesting appears
You're embarrassed to take them anywhere in public
You've been told to 'just be the alpha' — and it made things worse
Reactive dog on leash

"I don't train your dog. I train you."

The System

The Real World
Training Method

I don't teach tricks. I build behavior that holds up in the real world — at the park, in a store, around other dogs. Every session is structured, every rep is intentional, and every owner leaves knowing exactly what to do.

01

Evaluation

We identify the actual problem — not the symptom. Most behavior issues have a root cause that generic training misses entirely.

02

Structured Training

Clear communication, not repetition. Your dog learns through timing, consistency, and calm expectations — not treats and hope.

03

Real-World Exposure

Parks, stores, sidewalks, other dogs. We train where behavior actually matters, not just in a quiet room.

04

Owner Coaching

You learn alongside your dog. Results only stick when you know how to maintain them. Every program includes owner transfer sessions.

What a trained dog actually looks like

Walks calmly past other dogs without reacting
Comes when called — every time, not just when there's a treat
Holds a place command even with distractions around
You feel confident taking them anywhere in public
What Clients Say

Real dogs.
Real results.

"Tino is an absolutely superb trainer. His number one priority is that you're not hurting your dog while training them. That's a trainer who cares about the dog and about getting it right, not just taking your money."

Jeff Davis

Dog aggression toward other dogs — private sessions

Dog-reactive behavior resolved

"Not even 5 minutes later, she was a completely different dog. And the difference was permanent. I never could've taken her out in public before him. She loves people and wants to be everyone's best friend."

Jennifer Wilson

Galaxy — fearful/reactive pitbull

Permanent behavioral change

"When I first moved to Vegas I had a very reactive dog. Within a short amount of time my dog learned how to listen and follow my lead. I went to every week's class and highly recommend him."

Liz Morey

How It's Different

Most trainers teach tricks.
I build behavior.

The Typical Approach

Training happens in a controlled studio — not real life
Treat-dependent: dog only listens when you have food
One-size-fits-all programs for every dog
Owner drops off the dog and hopes for the best
Focus on tricks and commands, not actual behavior
Results fade within weeks without follow-up

The PLP Method

Training happens in parks, stores, and real-world environments
Structure-based: dog responds because it understands expectations
Every program adapted to the individual dog's personality and issues
Owner coaching built into every program — you learn too
Focus on calm, controlled behavior that holds up under pressure
Transfer sessions ensure results stick long after training ends
Be Honest With Yourself

This is not for everyone.

This IS for you if...

You're committed to following through at home after training ends
You want your dog to behave in the real world, not just at home
You've tried other methods and they haven't stuck
You're willing to be coached alongside your dog
You own a pitbull, bully breed, or a dog with a reputation

This is NOT for you if...

You want a quick fix with no effort on your end
You're not willing to change how you handle your dog at home
You expect results without attending any coaching sessions
You want someone to 'fix' your dog while you stay uninvolved
You're looking for the cheapest option available
No Gimmicks

You get results
without the nonsense.

A lot of training out there relies on methods that frustrate both you and your dog. I've spent 20 years figuring out what actually works — and what to leave behind.

Without spending hours watching conflicting YouTube videos

One clear system, not a dozen opinions

Without harsh corrections or aversive tools used carelessly

Tools are communication aids, not punishment

Without treat-bribing your dog into temporary compliance

Structure creates lasting behavior

Without attending group classes where nothing gets addressed

Every session targets your dog's specific issues

Without waiting months to see any real difference

Most owners see meaningful change within 2 weeks

Without feeling judged for having a 'difficult' breed

Pitbulls and bully breeds are a specialty here, not a problem

The Difference

Two versions
of the same dog.

Without Training

Every walk is a battle — you dread leaving the house
Your dog embarrasses you in front of neighbors and guests
You can't bring them to family events or outdoor spaces
You've accepted that 'this is just how they are'
The bond between you and your dog is strained by frustration

After PLP Training

Walks are calm — your dog heels and ignores other dogs
You're proud to take them anywhere, anytime
They can come to events, stores, and parks without incident
You understand your dog and know exactly how to handle them
The relationship with your dog is stronger than it's ever been

About Tino

I didn't start as
a trainer.
I started as a fan.

I fell in love with pitbulls before I knew anything about training. What drew me in was their tenacity — the way they'd give everything they had to the people they trusted. But I kept seeing them misunderstood, mishandled, and written off. That bothered me.

So I started learning. Not from a weekend certification course, but from years of hands-on work with dogs that other trainers had already given up on. Reactive dogs, fear-aggressive dogs, dogs that had been through things I won't describe here. I learned what works by watching what didn't.

Over the past 20 years I worked with thousands of dogs across the Las Vegas Valley and Los Angeles. I've rescued dozens. I run Sunday group classes in the Las Vegas Valley — many of the dogs arriving completely out of control. And I still believe every single dog is workable if you understand what they actually need.

My approach isn't complicated: clear communication, consistent expectations, and real-world exposure. I don't believe in cookie-cutter programs. I look at the individual dog, the individual owner, and I build something that actually fits.

"I think referrals say it best. I'm humbled, honored and appreciative of what my clients say about us."

FAQ

Questions
people
actually ask.

If you don't see your question here, DM "TRAINING" on Instagram or reach out through the website.

There are three programs: 4-Week Private Training at $1,200, the Real World Day Training Program at $2,500 (Monday through Friday for 4 weeks, includes training collar and treat pouch), and the Board & Train In-Home Immersion at $3,200+. The right program depends on your dog's issues, your schedule, and how quickly you want results.

Pitbulls and bully breeds are a specialty here — not a liability. I've spent 20 years working specifically with this breed because I believe in them. If anything, I understand their behavior and temperament better than most trainers you'll find.

Day Training means your dog comes to me Monday through Friday and trains in real-world environments — parks, stores, everyday situations. They go home to you each evening. Board & Train means your dog lives with me for 4 weeks in my home (not a kennel) and trains daily alongside my own dogs. Board & Train produces the fastest, most complete results.

Yes — and that's intentional. Every program includes owner coaching sessions because results only stick when you know how to maintain them. I'm not just training your dog; I'm training you to handle your dog. The go-home transfer session at the end of every program is one of the most important parts.

Possibly, yes. I work with behavior issues that most trainers won't touch. But I do require full disclosure of any bite history or aggression before we start. I assess each dog individually and I'll be honest with you about what's realistic.

Most owners notice meaningful changes within the first two weeks. A full 4-week program builds behavior that holds up under real-world pressure. The key variable is owner follow-through after training ends — results can fade without consistent structure at home.

All training starts with play-based methods — building drive, engagement, and a strong relationship between you and your dog before anything else. I use training tools — including e-collars and prong collars — as communication aids, not punishment. The goal is clarity and consistency, not pain. Every tool is introduced appropriately and only after a foundation of play and positive engagement has been established, with the owner's full understanding and consent. I don't believe in harsh corrections, but I also don't believe in pretending certain tools don't work.

Yes. I run Sunday group classes in the Las Vegas Valley. Group classes are available to clients who have completed at least one private session first — this ensures every dog and handler is prepared before joining the group environment. Group classes are great for socialization and continued obedience work in a real-world setting. For specific behavior issues — reactivity, aggression, recall problems — private sessions or a full program will get you there faster.
